It is difficult to confide your most personal and private thoughts and feelings in someone who is a stranger to you. Seeking help to face problems and not knowing how to find it or whether there are answers can be terrifying. It is hard enough to take the steps to reach out for help without worrying about being judged or shamed by a professional. My goal is to provide my clients with a safe and judgment-free growth experience.

Choosing a Life Coach

One of the most, if not the most, important factors affecting a successful outcome is choosing the right coach. Life coaches have different styles as well as different amount of training and skill levels. I have a very interactive and directive coaching style. My clients are encouraged to focus on solutions and not to dwell on the past. My clients learn and practice more effective life management skills. I help my clients find the solutions that work for them. My main goal is to help clients improve the quality of their lives and relationships. I help them to change how they think of things as well as change behaviors that are having a negative effect on their lives. I never judge my clients and encourage them to see themselves in the most positive light.

I have a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and have nearly 20 years working with individuals and couples. I have training and experience working in the area of substance abuse and am a Board Certified Sexologist. I work with couples experiencing difficulties with their relationship and/or sex life. My experience includes working with those having a history of depression, anxiety, abuse issues, compulsive behaviors, as well as sexual disorders and addictions.

I have worked with many people who engage in compulsive sexual behaviors (Sex Addiction). See my article "Understanding of Sexual Addiction; Are you a sex addict?"

I also have extensive experience working with clients who live alternative lifestyles, providing a safe place for people living all alternative lifestyles to talk openly and explore ways to improve quality of life. I work with members of the GLBT community. I have a genuine understanding of what it takes to change. My role as a coach is to work in partnership with my clients to guide and empower them to find solutions to life's problems. You will have a safe space to explore the issues that are holding you back and find solutions.

Coaching Via Webcam is also available !!!!!

I have been working with clients via webcam for several years and it has become a more widely accepted way of providing services to clients. Here is an article in the New York Times:

This works just like visiting my office without leaving the comfort of your home. Sessions last for an hour. Save gas and travel time, and there's no need to find a babysitter. You receive all the services clients visiting my office receive. All that's required is that you have a webcam and install SKYPE on your computer. SKYPE is encrypted, so it ensures your privacy and confidentiality. This is an ideal alternative to those living too far from my office to make office visits practical.

What to expect when You meet with Me:

Most people who are seeking help experience some anxiety. Don't be surprised if you are a little nervous. After all, you are meeting me for the 1st time and are hoping that I can help you with the problems and issues you are experiencing. You may have some expectations of what you will experience either from your past experience, what you have seen in the media, or from what friends or relatives have told you.

I understand that seeking help can be an ordeal for some and I make every effort to help you feel comfortable with me. You will enter my office and see a notice to ring a call bell. If I am not with another client, I will peak my head through the window and greet you with a smile and introduce myself. If I am with another client, I will greet you as soon as possible. I will hand you a few forms to complete. These forms give me some general information about you and the nature of the problem you came to me to help you with.

Once you have completed these forms we will sit and have a conversation. During this conversation I will get to know you and help identify the issues that brought you to see me. From this point we will work together to seek solutions that will help you improve the quality of your life.
